It was a huge day for ANNA Meares and
Stephanie Morton as they progressed through to the finals today with a win in the women’s
sprint at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome. They are supposed to return overnight to
the track for a gold medal ride off.
In their pre quarter finals match, Morton
led from the start and dominated the happenings while Meares displayed too much
class for Jenny Davis of Scotland.
