Australian
James Magnessen justified his world champion tag by defeating his fellow
countryman in World 100m freestyle championship. He defeated Cameron McEvoy in
a time of 48.11 seconds. Australian flag rose high as Tommaso D'Orsogna won the
Bronze medal to complete an all Australian podium.
McEvoy had beaten Magnussen
in the Australian trial earlier but failed to repeat the performance on Day 3
as he didn’t look like winning the gold.
