A Long Walk to Victory

It was worth seeing the face of Michael Shelley after he completed his long walk towards the finishing line in the men’s marathon event in the Glasgow ’14 Commonwealth Games to win a gold medal for himself.

He clocked just 11 minutes and 15 seconds to complete the race and repeat history after 20 years. It was back in 1994 when an Australian won a gold medal in the same event. He beat a Kenyan and a Ugadian in the process.
