Jen McIntosh of Scotland just missed the
golden opportunity to regain her title as she narrowly missed the finishing
line while Sally Johnson grabbed the opportunity as she went on to win the gold
in 50m rifle prone. Sadly, Mclntosh had to content with bronze only while Esmari
van Reenen of South Africa took the silver with a score of 620.1 as compared to
620.7 score of New Zealand. Surprisingly, Mclntosh’s mother won the gold medal
back in 1994.
