Defending champion failed to make it to the
top as he could only fifth in the heats and lost any chance of making it to the
finals of 400m hurdles final. Dai Greene was struggling with an injury and
faded in the last 100 meters of the hurdles leaving spectators in a state of
shock. 28 years old Welshman took 50.36 seconds in total. LJ van Zyl, the South
African who stood second last tome also failed to make it through to the
finals.
