First Gold of the Day by a Shooter for Australia

Starting the day on a high, Australia bagged a Gold medal in the 10m air pistol discipline to kick start the proceedings with a blast. He held on to India’s Prakash Nanjappa to seize his second medal in the Commonwealth Games. 202 cm giant had a loose start with a 9.3 shoot, which was miles away from the perfect score.

The next 20 shots were on the bull’s eye. He won gold and silver in 2006 CommonWealth.
