Gowda of India created history by winning first medal for India in athletics.
The 6ft 6in threw a sky high disc up to a range of 63.64m to take Silver for
India. The 31 year old from the capital of India looked cloud troubling during
the event. Brett Morse of Wales finished fifth with a score of 60.48 while Carl
Myerscough of England was down to seventh. Carl took the bronze medal in the
same event in 2010.
